Super Junior’s Shindong gets dressed like 4Minute’s Hyun Ah


Kim Shin Young’s bandage costume is currently attracting many people’s attention.
In the episode of MBC Music’s Show Champion that aired on March 27, the hosts Shindong and Kim Shin Young had a dance battle.
In the episode, Shindong and Kim performed on the stage, dressed like 4Minute’s Hyun Ah and Miss A, respectively. Shindong wore Hyun Ah’s short dress and Kim wore Miss A’s bandage costume.
Before the battle started, Shindong said, “If I win, I’ll buy some soda for all of the audiences for cheering me on.” At this, Kim also said, “If I win, I’ll get some prized possessions of Super Junior members and give them to their fans.”
Performing Miss A’s “Touch,” Kim got laughs by changing the lyrics of the song as “It’s all lie that you can be pretty if you lose weight.”
Shindong also changed into Hyun Ah, wearing a long wavy wig and a minidress, and gave a parody performance of Hyun Ah’s “Bubble Pop,” which was only shown at the overseas concerts.

Some pictures of the cast members of SBS TV’s drama series The Rooftop Prince were released.
The Rooftop Prince started airing on March 21 and is entertaining the viewers with its funny story. What especially attracts people’s attention is the set full of laughs.
Playing the role of Park Ha in the series, Han Ji Min said she always made mistakes because of the three actors playing handsome servants.
In the pictures, the cast members are smiling or laughing in the middle of shooting. It clearly shows the set in a friendly mood.
One of the production crew said, “The atmosphere on the set is very good. Because the genre of the series is romantic comedy and the cast members are all very close, the set is always full of laughs. After the first episode aired, our teamwork became even stronger. We’re really having fun although the shooting schedule is quite tight.”
In the last episode, the prince Lee Gak (played by JYJ’s Yoo Chun) saw a picture of Yong Tae Yong, who looked like him, and Yong’s grandmother Yeo (played by Ban Hyo Jung) met Lee. The next episode of The Rooftop Prince will air on March 28 at 9:55 p.m.

Jang Keun Suk will start his concert tour in July


Actor Jang Keun Suk is ready to become a real world prince as he recently announced the schedule for his Asia tour.
Loved by many Asian fans as a prince of Asia, Jang is starting his concert tour, titled 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour The Cri Show 2, in Seoul in July this year.
Jang already had an Asia tour under the title of The Cri Show in April last year in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Shanghai. As he received an enthusiastic response for the tour, he’s having another Asia tour this year.
The upgraded 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour The Cri Show 2 will be held in Seoul, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Ongoing since 2010, Jang’s Asia tour has become very popular.
Jang is currently appearing in KBS 2TV’s drama series Love Rain with SNSD’s Yoona.

miss A’s “Touch” ranks first on Taiwanese chart


Group miss A’s “Touch” ranked first on a Taiwanese music chart.
On March 23, miss A released a special version of their mini album Touch in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Then their title song “Touch” ranked first on the Taiwanese Omusic chart.
The album includes songs from the Korean version of their album Touch and the Chinese version of their song “Touch.” Both Korean and Chinese versions of their music video were also included.
miss A’s agency, AQ Entertainment, says, “We want to thank the fans who waited for the group to release the Chinese version of their album. Please keep an eye on miss A and support them.”

A Japanese publisher willing to pay T-ara 2 billion won


Group T-ara was offered 150 million yen (2,058 million won) from a Japanese publishing company and drew a lot of attention.
The publishing company heard the news that T-ara was planning to take a trip to Europe for 8 nights and 9 days. Then they contacted Core Contents Media Japan to offer 150 million won for a pictorial calendar and a 120 minute DVD.
T-ara, however, said, “We are not that talented. We will take pictures and videos in Italy, Swiss, and Austria for 8 nights and 9 days and then you can decide whether you still want to work with us or not after seeing the results.”
Hyomin and Eunjung will participate in a project with photographer Cho Se Hyun and director Cha Eun Taek and go to Europe for 8 nights and 9 days. The two girls previously said, “We will learn many things from Cha and Cho.”

Big Bang and 2NE1 both release albums in Japan on Mar. 28


Big Bang and 2NE1 are both releasing albums in Japan on the same day.
On March 28, Big Bang are releasing Alive and 2NE1 are releasing their first Japanese full-length album Collection.
Big Bang’s new album consists of total ten tracks including the songs from their fifth mini album Alive and two new songs, “Ego” and “Feeling.”
The new songs, “Ego” and “Feeling,” are especially attracting wide attention.
“Feeling,” which attracted wide attention as it was selected as a opening theme song of the animated TV movie series Transformer Prime, is composed by the world-renowned artist from Germany Boys Noize, G-Dragon, and T.O.P.
“Ego” also seems to attract wide attention in Japan because of its groove and appealing lyrics.
2NE1′s new album consists of total 12 songs, including their hit songs and new song “Scream.”
The remake versions of Maddona’s “Like a Virgin” and m-flo’s “She’s So (Outta Control) (Feat. 2NE1)” are also included.
“Like a Virgin,” “Scream,” and “Love is Ouch” are already decided to be used as TV Commercial songs for such brands as beverage, travel agency, and clothing brands in Japan even before the album was released.
Verbal, a member of m-flo, also participated in the new albums of Big Bang and 2NE1. Verbal wrote Japanese lyrics to Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” and 2NE1′s “Scream.”
Releasing albums on the same day, Big Bang and 2NE1 are also performing at Spring Groove, the biggest music festival in Japan, held in Kobe and Chiba on March 31 and April 1.


Big Bang and 2NE1 will perform at the festival as representative singing groups of Korea along with LMFAO and David Guetta.
Big Bang recently released the schedules for their tour, 2012 Big Bang Alive tour in Japan, which will be held in Nagoya, Yokohama, Osaka, Saitama, and Fukuoka. Even before the ticket sales began, tickets for some concerts were sold out, proving Big Bang’s high popularity in Japan.

Hot idol group Infinite is to hold a special exclusive event in collaboration with YouTube.
Prior to the Second Invasion-Evolution Concert that is to be held at the Olympic Gymnasium Arena, in Seoul on April 1st, “Exclusive! Infinite Special” is to be air through YouTube.
“Exclusive! Infinite Special” features clips including Infinite’s flashy performances, behind-the-stage and many others. What’s more, the seven-member boy group is slated to give as many as five live performances, so it is generating high expectations.
There have been many super pop stars who gave online live performances through YouTube, but it is unprecedented for K-pop star so Infinite is to the first K-pop star to give live performance through YouTube.
The agency of the group says, “Not all the performances are to air live, but we hope that fans from all over the world enjoy the performances and feel as if they were at the same place, at the same time altogether.
Following the first exclusive concert in Japan, the first concert in Korea, and the second one in Japan, the group’s fourth concert, the Second Invasion-Evolution Concert, has recorded the sold-out four times in a row. 4MINUTE is getting ready for coming out in this coming April with a new album, which has produced by Shinsadong Tiger.
The charismatic five-member girl group is set to change their look and music for this album, and that’s why the fiercest girls decided to delay the released their new album, which had been slated to be released on this coming January.
The group worked with K-pop hit producer Shinsadong Tiger for this album again. Shinsadong Tiger is a Korean produce, who is responsible for a number of popular songs, including 4MINUTE’s “Hot Issure,” “Mirror Mirror,” “Heart to Heart,” and many others.
On March 28, a source from 4MINUTE’s agency says, “We’ve worked with Shinsadong Tiger, who has worked with us so far, but the album is going to be a lot different from their previous style. The members are preparing songs and performances of style that they haven’t done it before. They’re going to appeal with the songs of new styles. The new album is going to be released on this coming April. They’re going to be active from next month.”
4MINUTE attracted caused sensations for their song of unique styles and racy dance moves with their every album release. The versatile girl group is also ready to receive positive responses from the globe.

2PM to host The Hottest Show


Boy band 2PM will host its third official fan meet on April 1. JYP Entertainment announced on March 27 that the fan meeting, titled “2PM’s The Hottest Party,” will be held for the members of the band’s official fan club, known as “Hottest.”
To entertain their fans, members of the band have planned various segments in addition to the usual song and dance routine.
The fan meet in the band’s native country comes hot on the heels of its “Hands Up” world tour, which it concluded on March 10.
“Currently all members are busy rehearsing for the show. They want to make their fans smile, laugh and make sure they have a great time,” said a representative from JYP Entertainment.
The fan meet will be held at the Peace Hall, located inside Kyunghee University.

JYJ radiates sexiness at special nuclear summit performance


Hallyu heartthrob trio JYJ has captured the hearts of some of the world’s most influential women. The group performed a special concert on Tuesday for the spouses of world leaders attending the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit.
The performance took place at the Blue House reception hall and was attended by the first ladies of Gabon, Nigeria, South Africa, Malaysia, Vietnam, Switzerland, Singapore, Italy, India, Indonesia, China, Chile, the Philippines and Korea as well as the wives of the UN and European Union delegates.
In total, 16 spouses were treated to a short concert by the K-pop stars, who sang hit songs like “Be My Girl” and “In Heaven.”
Many of the audience members asked to take photos with JYJ.
The Korean first lady, Kim Yoon-ok, approached one member of the group, Park Yu-chun, to wish him well and to say that she was a fan of the drama “Rooftop Prince,” in which he stars.

KARA celebrates 5th anniversary


Girl group KARA recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of their debut with several tweets.
On March 29, Nicole tweeted, “Five years have already passed… I was 17 years old. Walking down memory lane… I have lots of memories. I will make more in the future.”
Han Seung Yeon tweeted a picture of herself fright after her debut with the comment, “The picture reminds me of all these memories. I love you. These days abs are very popular, but I didn’t even care about my figure at the time. So fresh, twenty years old.”
The youngest member Kang Jiyoung tweeted, “Let’s celebrate the 5th anniversary of KARA’s debut! And today is my beloved friend Sulli’s birthday too! Let’s celebrate! One, two, three!”
Leader Park Gyuri tweeted, “Five years after KARA’s debut… Time files like an arrow. Thank you for believing and supporting us for 5 years. Let’s keep making more memories in the future. My people!”
KARA debuted in 2007 as 4 member girl group and released their first album Blooming. But Kim Seong Hee seceded from the group in February, 2008 and then Kang Jiyoung and Goo Hara joined the group in June of the same year.

Jay Park says, “Big Bang’s Taeyang is the best dancer”


Jay Park said Big Bang’s Taeyang is the best dancer of all idol members.
In the episode of Mnet’s Beatles’ Code 2 that aired on March 29, the hosts asked Park, “How good do you think you are in dancing,” and he said, “I might be within the top five.”
The hosts also asked Park to select the best dancers among all male idol members. Park first said, “I think Taeyang is the best dancer,” and pleased Shindong saying, “Super Junior’s Shindong is also good. He’s specially good at Rocking and Popping.”
Park also said, “SHINee’s Tae Min and Super Junior’s Eunhyuk are really good, too.”
Soon, Park and Shindong had a dance battle. Park gave a perfect performance with his chest pumping dance and fancy break dance, and Shindong also got laughs with his powerful and funny dances.
